Hi Guy's, just to let you know "the cars are in the house" Won't get to any practice laps today as I have a HOA meeting to attend tonight. I'll get the cars qualified during this week but I may need to run the race next week as this coming weekend is already spoken for.
Unpacked the cars today. What a great looking bunch of cars After cleaning tires with h2o I did manage to run all the cars, on a short 8-10 lap "sprint". All cars except # 21 seemed A-Ok (some faster then others)
Car # 21 has a major problem. Something (a weight) is loose and rattling around inside the body. I need to know if I am allowed to remove the body and "fix" whatever it is that has come loose before I qualify the cars tomorrow. Without the "fix" the car will be DNQ and will not be able to run as it binds the rear axle.
It's O.K. with me, I will take any penalties.
It is probably a small weight on either side of the guide;
I thought I took them out before shipping.
Thanks
George
Since GFG has said so, open it up and report what's wrong...
And go ahead and fix it. Then we can decide if worth penalizing...
It is fixed Opened it up and a small weight fell out. Looks like its "brother" is still in place up near guide flag. Would suggest a "dab" of whatever you used to glue in your motor next time as the self stick lead doesn't always stick even if you CA glue it.
Qualifying has been completed, ain't I wicked quick........Some very fast times recorded with redlynr leading the way is needed by all the rest of us as the "red machine" is in its own class . Not a "bad" car in all the "O" & "A/B" class. Some just quicker then others In "U" class Phil & Dickie have the cars to beat (at least here @ Red Mountain).
Thanks for fixing my car, I am glad it was something simple. Everything in this race is a learning experience. I have used that tape in my machine shop for 30+ years and thought that if it holds Stainless steel to a fixture for milling that it would hold up in some toy cars. Wrong again. Now if I can figure out what happened to the brakes? Thanks to all the people that are running the races, the coverage and the photos are great to follow.
Hi Guy's..........the "U Class" race is complete & in the books. I'll post results tomorrow AM with some pictures. The plan is to run "O Class" Saturday and "A/B Class" on Sunday. Now there is a thing called "Murphy's Law" that might/ may/ could, come into play. Sooo don't get too uptight if he stops over to visit me. However, I'm well armed so he won't stay long
Murphy's law, eh? Since you've mentioned it, and I'm Murphy, I insist you apply my rule that "Murphy always wins"
Don M (Murphy)
This is a common misconception (often held by those named Murphy). However, Murphy's Law (colloquially stated as "anything that can go wrong will go wrong" or more scientifically as "the perversity of the universe tends to a maximum") is a universal axiom, and so applies equally to Murphy. Hence the corollary "Murphy has to let you win once in a while just so you'll keep playing the game". With so many other somebodys out there needing to satisfy this rule, Murphy in fact very seldom gets to win him or her self.
Still playin'. Still waitin' for my win .

HMMM, I'm still waiting as well, but happy to be in the game!
