So many of the slot car releases are "me too" releases, like the Audi R18, which just about everyone will do sooner or later. It's nice to see a change. I've been really interested in some of Ninco's choices recently, like their Jaguar E-types and now this Lancia 037. Nobody has touched the 037 in years, and even though Fly did a great job with it, this is a great car for Ninco to do.

Kurt,
So far, there's been lots of positive feedback about the 037 forthcoming release.
I think all manufacturers sometimes look at the "flavor of the month"; hence R-18's, 997's, Mini Coopers, etc. It's the nature of the hobby but it gives users choice... and that's good.

I agree, Bob. Manufacturers have to consider cars that are going to be popular, and popular also means that other makers will do the same car. I also like the choice of whether I want a Slot. It, Mr. Slotcar, or LMM Mazda 787b, and each did the car beautifully. (still need to get the LMM -- it's spectacular).

I appreciate it when the makers go and do something a little different. Ninco also did the Exige -- great little car, and nobody else has touched it, surprisingly.

A little uniqueness keeps me coming back to a few particular brands.

I volunteer to put the 037 through rigorous testing @ my next rallies @ Main Line Hobbies. Very tough, tight, twisty track w/ elevation changes, sliding track, & then finally, dirt!

We've got a rally in the middle of June - the Oregon Rally Championship. Four tracks in one day. I'd love to give the Lancia a run. An OLIO for me please.

No, the OLIO. The less common livery.
