Wednesday PSSRA racing at Red Devil
Sorry I haven’t been keeping up on my reporting duties, but I have a slot car track to build. I have been having a great time working on the new track and will start routing today. I am going to get on line and find some scenery items I need to have on hand. I also need to get some wiring supplies ordered. I still don’t have the answer to how to set up individual track control so we can do fuel stops, but I will figure it out.
Wednesday at Red Devil sucked. Well it sucked for me I finished dead last. How can anyone so dedicated to a hobby be so bad at it? The only week I feel I was doing well I was almost fell in the ditch in front of my house when the professor dropped me off after the race (beer is the answer). Actually the evening was filled with lots of great people (about 20 counting all that were in attendance) and some super racing. There were a few people missing that were out enjoying the summer, so I don’t know what we will do when the regular season commences this fall. Oh well, to suffer from to much success is a problem we can work. Several have said they would sit an evening out and help with marshaling and scoring if that becomes necessary. I don’t care, I am having to much fun to let the details bother me. If I skipped a couple of weeks racing maybe, I could catch up on my reporting and photos.
Well I am just going to post the results and get out to the shop and get back to work on my track. I was so stiff and sore this morning I couldn’t clip my fingernails. But we will work through the pain. That is what a real man does. Some of the guys are coming over this weekend to help and it should be fun. You all are invited to come help out or just stop bye to check it out. The Professor and Derek will be here Sunday and a couple of others will be here on Saturday.
According to my computer the file they downloaded on my thumb drive is invalid. So I can not post the actual results from the race. I will give the finishing order in a simple quick format. I was just going to give the top three but I could have given the top 14 and still not had to have listed me.
Tony Gave out a car to 5th place and the Ferrari went to third and Red Devil gave out a shirt to like 6th. I don't really know, I got confused, but thanks to all of your for the prizes and congratulations to whoever won!
Thanks to the Professor for taking over the computer duties so Mr. Norman could race with us. Yea, someone else to beat me.
Oh I forgot to tell all of you. I had a race at my house yesterday and I won!
