here is the chassis, I am going to shorten the guide bracket, but the frame is all scratch built about 5 bucks in K&S brass tube and flat stock

I used HR Chassis for the Nascars, the modified has the rear bulkhead of an HR, the truck is all scratch, the wheels I am borowing from an HR and the guides are from HR, with those HR chassis its so easy to kit bash.

Yes sir get you a rolling chassis, and bring the old model to life, then thats all you will want to do.

now I am going to age the paint 50 years

I like the "upside-down" chassis, keeps motor low and hides the chassis...
