LDFan... I've seen your track many times on the forum. It's amazing what you can do with SCX track pieces.

For me... I like a totally visible view so no overpasses.... but if I could do a very high quality overpass that was limited, I would consider it.

Last I heard, Kidvolt was remaking his track to have no overpass.

Scootcar, that looks great. Have you got a couple of stills or a layout drawing you could share? Does the trailer have a guide on it?

Nice work!

We did have an overpass in our Scalextric Sport track when we were running only analogue, but now that we have gone on to digital, we decided that we could do away with the bridge as it was, in the past, giving us some problems with the cars taking off at the crest and crashing downhill. With digital, we also felt that the length equalizing factor was not critical since a driver could pick and change lanes during a race. Another factor was that, with analogue, we always do full 4-lane rotation for our races so that sort of equalizes things in the end. And, in any case, even with an overpass, we have found that the 2 middle lanes were always faster than the outside and inner lanes. But I have to say that I enjoy the changes in elevation of a track and it's always fun to drive on.

It may look confusing but races very well. I have LED lights under the overpasses. The elevation changes adds a little bit of technical aspect to those points in the track.
