Default New Track

Hi guys,

So Iam building a track in my garage, it will be a two lane for the time being. I have the tables built, two 4x8 tables joined to form an L-shape footprint, I am planning on building it like Mr. Flippants home track with a few mods.(if you look at his Gallery under Home Track you can see the general idea). Scaley track for the time being, with TrackMate timing and scoring, Analog because it will be easier for me to figure out the wiring and stuff. Iam hoping if we get another track in the area we could have a monthly club race on a round robin schedule, Nates track, Jays and this one when I finish it. I will try to get a few pictures up I get a little closer to finishing, I am going to paint the tables tomorrow, track and Power Suppy are on order, waiting on Trackmate until I can figure out just what I need to install it. If it works out I have talked to Billy at Sidewinder about building a Wood ,Three lane to fit this footprint. It will be fun....I think.

So I got the tables painted (second coat today) , I purchased most of the track I need for the planed layout. I think I need maybe 8 or so pieces that I cant find at any local shops, I have a Vemon PS-6 power suppy that I have had for a while. I think it is 600 Watts and cant find out how many Amps, I might try to use it but should probably get another as I use this one for trueing tires and breaking in motors. If any of you guys have any info on TrackMate timing systems I would love to hear about it, how to hook it up etc. The Electronics part of this build is hard for me to grasp. Thanks

Here are a few photos of the track, coming together slowly. Waiting on Borders.. I didn't realize I needed that many until I started putting things together. Well no photos this site is very difficult to upload photos to.... yeah!

OK Dennis here we go again.... Sweet theres one anyway, to many Bytes or some nonsense. Looking at that photo I think I can add MORE TRACK to where the little pit garage thing is. That would be two straights and a sweeper at the far end... IDK Maybe too tight because I really don't like the tight turn that dips down where the track almost meets.

Thanks guys, it is fun to run. It is great to run a car on after I have done something to the car, to see if it works. It will be interesting to have a club race on it, still have not pulled the trigger on a Timing System. Track Mate for sure, dead strip instead of Infra Red need to get an older PC also. I also have all of the borders for this layout but I am thinking of changing the section in the small side of the L table.
