But Seriously folks.

I converted the original Drawling from two slots with three rails to a single slot with two rails.

I got my shipment from Mouser today. It fits inside the Radio Shack 6"x3"x2" project box that I normally use. I will still pick up a new one as I will have to mount a door bell type SPST switch.

And am copying the drawling to 1:1 scale on a SLOP sized sheet of MDF.

I've been working on the routing of the slot. It is not perfectly smooth, Rather has some squared edges instead of the flowing. Should give a good drive.

Thinking about materials for the walls. There should be about 4 inches between the steps on one side. The issue is that is at the extreme edge of the track. And 4 inches of walls will not be needed in the middle.

I usually go with a medium gray to simulate older asphault, I may go with a sun bleached concrete for this track.

Dean you will want more than 4" if you may want to run "other" stuff on it...

you should be able to get some good elevation, especially since the roadway will be pretty narrow. with undercutting, you'll be able to get some VERY extreme elevation if you wanted to.

Probably too late now, but you could get more sliding room by having the slot go to the inside of the turn area each time.
