I host proxy’s for IPS PROXY to NZ GRP5 proxy’s to Rally proxy’s
I always clean tyres as I dampen a chux wipe as a cleaning station...

Track gets cleaned again with a damp cloth - lint free...
And I may also video record qualifying.....

I have never cleaned the tires and the cars get faster every year. I do wipe the track down however.

My club, Shoreline Model Raceways, has a great deal of experience with doing proxy races. It has been our experience that it is best to condition the track for the type of tire that is going to be run. Silicone tires will only pick up dust from the track surface, when that happens they will lose a lot of grip and will need to be cleaned. The dust is easily removed, no strong solvent is required. If you normally run silicone tires those leave a deposit on the track, if you switch to urethane tires they will get coated and will loose grip. If the tires are heavily coated the deposit may be more difficult to remove. As I mentioned in another post CRC contact cleaner works, but could possibly damage the tires if you use it often. Wiping with a cloth moistened with a solution of water with a good surface cleaner is the safest and most effective thing to use.
If you don't condition the track it will get conditioned sooner or later provided that you run enough laps. Cars that are run in the earlier heats might be at a disadvantage if the track is not fully conditioned at the start of the racing.
I use a skid pad made up of Ninco track to polish tires, the surface is indeed very rough. Ninco track also has rails that are slightly above the track surface, if you have cut things too close with respect to your guide flag you front tires might not be touching the track.

Cars have arrived back in NEPA. I will start checking through the cars and am looking to ship to Australia on Tuesday or Wednesday. I will post anything I find.

Is the next race oval or roadcourse?
Looking forward to land down under.

Races in Australia will be one each, road course and oval, if I got that correct from GAS41T.

I did shakedown all the cars today. Rick was gracious enough to open up Daleville Speedway so we had a benchmark. A few cars had loose weight, most did not have any issues. With points on the line many of us get anxious, and forget that we’ve raced on 6 track surfaces in 7 races.

What I did find was previously reported issues.
4 COT - broken front end
21 COT - bronken front body posts

I have contacted both owners, and I am carrying out repairs for them
