When distracted marshalls fail, drivers have every right to get their attention by whatever means. Marshalling is a responsibility, not a favor. You should put the same intensity into marshalling as you do driving. Not watching your section of track is inexcusable. Remember that being courteous towards others includes getting their car back on as quickly as possible. Quick marshalling is a joy to behold when I'm racing and I always try to say thankyou to those making the effort. It's just being polite.

One rule of thumb for marshalls is to remember "1st car off, last one on" this is only fair that the one causing the wreck is penalized and does not receive favor after taking out competitors. It takes time to get accomplished at this but practice helps. No one ever gets yelled at for doing their best. Those who may be inept are considered to be "the Hand of God" so hey...avoid coming off in front of them and save yourself some grief. Great marshalling keeps it fun for everyone.

I don't mind when other drivers are talking, laughing, joking and having fun. Good drivers have to be able to tune out distractions. Blaming other drivers for you being distracted is pretty lame and fails to get the big picture. Everyone is there to have an enjoyable experience so try keep things light but focus on racing at the same time. It's a delicate atmosphere to maintain in the heat of battle.

Great choice of topic btw

Somehow or other, you and I never end up at 132Slotcar at the same time - just remember this; if I'm driving and you're marshalling, you'll need to bring your catcher's mitt! (I'm sure the politeness part just comes naturally, eh?)

Default One I havent seen yet but still frustrating

My big pet peeves when someone pics drags my car back wards, ruining the braids i worked hard to get just right, also if your Marshal is watching the race, and not his corner and when you call to him, he looked annoyed. I may not be the best driver, but i do know how to marschal.
