Default N-Digital and Wireless

Hello everyone,

I been absent for a while. Well since 2011 to be exact.

Anyways, I decided to reconfigure my tracks to a new layout. Glad I was able to still buy some tracks thanks to the Internet and UK.

I seen a video on YouTube where someone did a wireless connection to the N-DIGITAL console and controller.

Anyone familiar what how to achieve that? I have 8 controllers and plenty of the Ninco chips that I do not want to do a drastic change such as buying all new chips for the cars and extensive track modifications.

Regards,

I found one showing a guy had cobbled together his own system using a variety of electronics. Looks like it works well, but not an "off the shelf" solution by any means.

There was going to be a wireless digital system from Ninco, but it was canceled for the foreseeable future, as far as anyone knows. Ironic, as they were the first to publicly announce a digital system with wireless controllers and a power base that connects to a mobile device (phone/tablet) for race management.

If you want to purchase something ready to go, you'll need to look at the slot.it SCP2 with Universal Digital cartridge, along with a CRI and oXigen digital cartridge. Not inexpensive, but currently the only solution I know of for controlling Ninco Digital cars on a Ninco Digital track.

The only other way is, essentially, to change to another system.

Here's the video I saw:

Default Ninco Wireless

Robert

Sorry so late on this................non the less Yes I have used the Ninco Wireless system for several years now.... for the most part its OK, however, something to keep in mind on this system there is NO short protection so if you short across the braids (at least on my version) and as a result the main power supply track (for the lack of a better term) shorted out and i had to replace it. As a precaution I put on a piece of black electrical tape over the motor and so far on more shorts.

As I recall the digital system HAD short protection and safely short down the power until I reset it..

I did the switch because building cars for proxy's, where we don't run digital became a huge PIA..

Hope this helps

Dick

Robert,

You should try the Magic ARC App if you still have the Scalextric ARC AIR power base. I couldn't get the Scalextric ARC app to work correctly but the Magic App is working good.

Best regards,
Brian
