Interesting, but wrong, and wrong. Don't assume...
Van + Dan = Of course I've only known Van for about 5 years now, but I'm always glad to run into him at the track. Some blanket statments are all wet.
Dan
I'm waiting for that Sperm Whale to be superimposed on the stars and stripes. I like the new color, too. Around New England, you can see sperm whales on weathervanes. It's probably the most iconic whale (and the CPR/CA goes for iconic). Since Connecticut seems to be dominating the slot car world (at least, one slot car corner of it) it seems appropriate.
"... the colors of Old Glory are RED/white/&blue, not ROSE/white/&blue. ..."
I see it red on my PC screen, Moby... though it could be that my screen is FUBAR, eh?
I don't see why all the fuzz about the Sperm Whale: they're very nice animals that dive down to more than 2.500 meters (1.6 miles), have the biggest teeth (10 to 25 cm) and brain of any living animal, and are gourmet eaters: they love to chew on giant squids! Okay, maybe they could've given it a smarter name, but so what...? After all, it's first name is where we all come from, eh?!
So, ladies and gents, let me present to you the Sperm Whale in all it's glory:
Cool animal, eh?
BTW, awesome logo Van: what will you guys come up with next...?!?
Cheerio lads!

PS: a moose is also an awesome animal...

Reason: had to add something...
Before I decide if I can enter, can someone let me know what tyres will be used in the US part of the series.....I'm happy using Eurethanes in Canada, but if the US tracks are Silicone dominated it seems difficult to use them without being at a distinct disadvantage and I think I may have to wait until the following years All Canadian event.
I changed the colours once I was accused of being a French Canadian American hater. Seeing as I am neither I thought it was the best thing to do with my ample free time. The American flag was clip art that I used for the GPR logo and nobody complained then. It must have been outsourced, eh?

The CanAm logo with a beaver and a sperm whale? The moose is on our quarter, the beaver is on our nickel, and the loon is on our dollar coin.
The way I see it, the race is Canadian one year and Canadian-USAican the next, which makes it 75% Canadian, 25% USAican. How about a great big beaver and a little tiny sperm whale?
And what do we mean by sperm whale? It's head is filled with spermaceti oil, formerly used for lighting, as it was the best lamp fuel before petroleum distillates were invented. After fossil-fuels, it was relegated to lube oil in clocks, because it seemed never to evaporate. When I was a little boy, I saw (and smelled) a vial of spermaceti oil that was supposed to be used in clocks, and it smelled foul indeed. Maybe it was rancid, since it was probably 50 years old back then. Boy did it stink. I wouldn't want to fill my lamps with that stuff.

I didn't want to get into those particulars, but that's true: it's name is not spermatozoid related. But it fitted my bad joke so I used it anyway...
Drum solos and long guitar solo seem to bore the h_ll out of young people these days: what they really want is dance music, be it electronic or whatever. It's a pity, but what can one do in times when DJ's are considered "composers"...?
Yo Van, I would think a moose (the head) would be a good fit for the CAPR, as it can be found on both countries and looks really cool with those huge antlers... Well, I'm just writting away.
Good times, though I suck at gambling. Just as well since shopping and sightseeing were the focus of this trip. I snapped a few good pix at the Imperial Palace used exotic car dealership that I'll post later.
I've emailed Luf for an update of the shipping status for the cars.
