Yes. We used a pencil on a string to draw all the radius of each turn and each lane.



Power is to all lanes. Dead strips are wired and track is functional. Lumpy needs to finish the walls and we can hold an event.

For the record, Mike (Smokeio) is quite capable when it comes to designing and building tracks. Our phone conversation was about Lumpy...here is an excerpt:

Mike: But he's (Lumpy) not helping me!! He's watching the World Series!! I'm up here on top of the track killing my knees installing tape and braid . This is HIS track...
Steve: Maybe he is helping but you just don't realize it...
M: How can he be helping me if he's sitting in front of the TV watching the World Series??????
S: Let's assume Lumpy could actually climb on top of the table without falling off and breaking his neck. A bit of a stretch but work with me here. What would he be doing if he was working on the track?
M: He could help out with the braiding!
S: Let's consider that for a moment. What would the likely outcome be if Lumpy was helping you to braid the track?
M: He'd probably install the braid in the slot instead of the gains...
S: Exactly! And then what?
M: I'd have to remove the braid from the slot and install it in the gains where it belongs.
S: So in other words, you'd have to undo and then redo the "work" he performed. Lumpy's only real contribution is the entertainment value you might get from watching him "work"...
M: Hmmmm....
S: And while you're "carrying" Wayne, what would happen to the work you'd normally be doing???
M: It wouldn't be getting done...
S: So the best way for Wayne to "help" you is by watching the World Series...which is exactly what he's doing...
M: I never thought of it quite like that...
S: Glad I could help...

Long suffering Mets (Mutts?) fan...but rather the Yanks than the Phillies. Waiting for glue to dry on border support blocks as we speak. Should have everything done and ready for a shakedown race after Sunday night...

Mike held the pencil and string. I moved the MDF sheets...

We tied a pencil to a string(or did we tape the string on a pencil?). Wayne then moved the garage with the lawn tractor he never uses to cut his grass that is next to my property line. I held the string. The same method was used to create my skid pad.

PS - Never glue the tires of a lawn tractor onto the rim. When you get a flat, it's a challenge to change the tire.

Not being a member of the (apparently) "in crowd" involved in this post, I will restrict my comments to: track looks great, and also looks to have a nice flow and I am betting it would be blazing fast once it gets "broken in."

Thanks for the comment Macknnc. As promised enough borders are up to race. After much tire cleaning it is shaping up to be very fasy. I'm gonna have to add a lump somewhere to slow things down. Maybe Mike will bring over some of the RAA cars for a trial tonight and take some pics too...

Great looking track, the big flowing curves and squeezes, also that matching green sweat—check that, driver's—suit a few pages back wins big points for style. Some new type of flameproof loungewear, perhaps? :-)
