Good looking track. I like it! Looks like the flow will great..and it also looks like at least of your kitties senses that there will be "good hunting" around the track!
Looking good, brother. I wish I lived closer to you...I'd come over and help you tape that sucker!
Thanks for the offer...if your ever up this way let me know.

This weekend I had planned to tape the track, but instead I decided to get my least favorite job done first...so I wired the track and finished the driver station panel. The round holes are Go-Jo hand cleaner buckets, and they are for your controller.Next to that are the DPDT reversing switches for each lane. Then of course the controller hook-ups. The blue bins under each panel are for cars-so there's now NO need to lay cars all over my track when we are just running cars for fun-Chris-.
Also got 2 lanes taped and track edge stripes done. The lightbridge for the DS lap counter is also finished....
Another weekend with alot getting done.I should finish tapeing by Wensday night...
Measured the track with .095 weed whacker cord in the slot on Sunday...exactly 82' around.

Reason: adding
Finished tapeing the track...did some clean up around the room...had a friend come over Sunday and we (me,my son Max,and my buddy put three hours of running on the track. Started out a little slippery, but came in nicely. Right now shore 15 are the tire of choice...but once it gets rubbered in should be able to use any tire.
Got my box built for the power supply and timer too........
(see my buddies hanging out in the background?-Yes they are waiting for the cars to run-I've decided that a door on the race room is the only thing that will keep them off the track)
Real happy with the track and it's grip...now for some scenery.Rick to answer your question about what era I'll be doing....mostly a modern look, but with acouple "old track" (60's/70's)features thrown in. Thanks for looking.
Super job, man! Love the length, colored lanes, colored drivers stations, and most of all the BUCKETS! Genius, and I like that I think the most. When done, slide them in...Protected! I can't tell you the times that mine have been knocked off their little perches! I bet the kids are OVERJOYED! Nice work man!

Thanks Rob. I had 10 guys over last night for some racing-all went smooth, good time was had by all.
Looks really nice. The driver stations are cool, and I like how you've got the power supply and clock in the enclosure. At first I thought the controller cups were for holding drinks, then I thought a bit more about it.
