Yes, the orange Opel "sponsored" by the movie "Gone in 60 seconds" is car #3!

Not bad for the "no-pod" little Ninco, it appears to be slowly moving up in the rankings...and to think I only entered it on the 11th hour as a bit of an after-thought.

OK now we have cleared up the confusion with car ID I will post the qualifying which I ran yesterday before the Event.

We did not use qualifying to grid cars, but it really helped the Drivers to know which cars should be good performing cars.

The Track was cold ( so was the Store ) for qualifying, by the Race the room and track had warmed considerably.

I ran qualifying and the race by car number, in part as some cars did not have a name on them. It also makes it much quicker to grid cars by numbers as they are on the top of the car clearly visible.

A suggestion guys... Please in the remaining races ..when a car has ran through all lanes and coming out can you give lap totals and car #? All you have to do is say it so the video picks it up. For many of the cars we only heard when a new total lap count was set. You do not have to get on camera just announce it so people watching know or people picking the race up later can keep score and count ....

Like....: Car 69 is off with 106 .... next heat .... Car 104 is off with 113 etc...

Also why all the ties? Was not the sections counted? How were the ties broken???

Also I tried as much as possible to commentate the race.

I also had to make sure cars were gridded correctly for the next heat. We tried our best here to run a race at a time when I can not really afford the time.

Also have spent all today documenting the race. I hope it is appreciated.

The totals were read at the end of the video. That way the totals are available in one place, rather than stretched throughout the entire duration. From watching the video, it appears that when cars were pulled off, they were placed at the side of the track. When totals were read off at the end and multiple cars were on the same lap, the "tie" was broken based on the position of the car. Only whole laps appear on the score sheet for round #6, but position on the final lap gave an absolute finish order with no ties.

We ran round robin, and as mentioned cars were placed where they finished their 4th heat. In the Event of a tie, lap wise, we checked where each car was on that lap.

I did not measure total distance, as I was not aware it was needed.

I hope we gave a good showing I deeply appreciate the guys that came out to help make it happen, especially Monte and his good lady driving 6 hours to video a Slot Car race. ( and his Slot car broke )

Harv......as far as calling whos who and how it finished....I use trakmate round robin timed heats.I also have my track measured in 10ths.so trakmate wont count the 10ths I do when the race is over.So if your watching when I get to host,you wont hear or see nothing til its OVER.......

All I'm saying guys is a 2 hr + video maybe people are just watching their car and then take off. We run round robin on a TrakMate as well and as the cars come off you can look and see lap totals. Just a way for people to get results for only the car that is coming off not all cars for every heat...... just a thought.
