scx analog brakes question/parma controller connection?

Sorry for the newby question, but: Are there brakes wired into the scx analog powerbase? If so, how would I connect the wiring on a parma economy controller? The controller connection has 3 posts, so I'm hoping there is a way to wire the 3rd one for brakes if it isn't already. I'd like to keep my rug-racing setup as simple as it is and just solder in a connection or two if I have to and not have to add driver stations, etc. I've gotten it running with the parma controller, but if I hook up the brake wire from the controller to any of the posts the car either runs on it's own or not at all. Thanks so much.

If it has a 3 pin connector (strange shape) for the controllers it should be ready for brakes.

If you have a multimeter it should be easy to check how to wire it up, if not I have a base I can take a closer look at here.

It does have the strange shaped 3 pin connector. Any idea which wire is brakes? How could I test with the multimeter? Thanks.

starting at the track and working outward, i think it goes black, white, red (brake)

I had it going white then black in the middle and if I hooked up the brakes it would just cut the power. I did it black-white-red and it worked. Thanks again for the help!
