Neat model
Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Don't know how it would handle but....... everybody does low,a couple of 4x4's running around the track might be cool

Sweet find Jon! Look forward to more pics of this build. Torn on high/low, so no opinion, they both are very cool.

Scrjon

Nice model truck.

Re high or low: if you want to run it on a track the lower the CG the better.

The body is heavy and has high CG so plenty of weight down really low will let it handle the corners with some slide rather than tip.

1.6mm brass pans low at the sides would help a lot.

My 2 cents ....

What ever you decide have fun doing it.

Regards

irco

you are so correct Irco, but I think I will race this one just for fun, make a car hauler out of it.

I have a model kit of the Hairy Hurst Olds, the 1\1 scale car had twin engines and the frame building for the truck is practise for the Olds as I plan to make it twin engine and 4 wheel drive

thanks Jon

That is a nice truck, high or low, but shouldn't you be working on those lathes? Just kidding, but I would like to know more about those tires you were using in the mock-up.
