Probably due to those times when they choose something that was rarely photographed (recent Mazda) or when they pick fantasy liveries (i.e. liveries never raced when the car was actively involved in a championship) such as this upcoming Gulf Porsche.
I am sure the car will sell like hotcakes due to all the Gulf fans so it was a smart marketing move.
Yeah ! I believe I did see photos of the "prototype" (that was actually a different real car, just done up in "Gulf" for fun !)
But I tryin' to decide whether to buy 2 ... or 3 of them, so they can be "updates" of my Gulf 917's !!!
Whoa bud. Where's the anger coming from? I didn't say anything about your photo being wrong, just that Slot.it's photo proved them right.
I'm just saying that many people have doubted that certain cars that Slot.it make were actually raced. This car, the latest Jagermeister Porsche, the current Mazda etc. Yet photos always come forth proving them right.
Relax... everything's ok.
And I assure I am very real.
I do recall kinda recently when Slot. It released the Muegello Marlboro 956 with the black dashes on the side, quite a few of us( myself included) called in wondering "WT Heck" and the great Murizio produced photos of the exact car an we quietly calmly went back to racing
I have nothing less then total faith in this man
Now lets go back to being friends and back to racing!!

Spent a few quiet moments starting a new book -- Porsche 956/962 Photographic History --Glen Smale. Ohhhhhhhh, boy. Muzario, you will be wearing the molds totally out!!!
Like his previous 917 volume, most of the photos are previously unpublished and include testing sessions, Interserie -- all the good stuff --plus the regular liveries that we know and love --long live Group C !!!!!!
We'll be running a Group C Anniversary race (all Slot it based, non-evo 6 chassis) on Tuesday evening at Redhill Raceway --- I'll let you know what happens!!!!
July3, just received the SICA09e Porsche 956KH 'Gulf', in Maui.. First Time, i've seen the Gold spoked Wheels on the Front..~ What's the deal? are those availablel as a seperate Wheel#?? i'd luv to add several to my collection of Slot.its, as an alternate Wheel.. are they 'Grub-Screw', also?? or/pop-ons? (i'm not about to break the seal~ will have to order another few!, and, nice choice, with possible adding the #50-car!! RVSP code#, / information, if possible.. ~aloha, Thom in Maui~~
Somebody earlier, asked about 'GULF' liveries.. might want to search; Caterham/Lotus7 'Gulf'.?! i have one, modified with Slot.it parts in the drive-train, added weight in the passenger-compartment, and is quite the little racer in it's Class division~ (thanks again, Slot.it.~)
Thom, the fronts are usual the 15 x 8 plastic push on wheels for Group C cars, the new insert is PA55, the old part is PA21, not sure if the new ones are available yet. The old Group C wheels were gold spoked also, just covered up by separate extractor piece.
the wheels have always been there . they just have a cover/diffuser over the gold lace . i have some on the way to finish my dtm project cars . i won`t be usin` the diffusers .
