30355 Lap Counter and ghost cars

The instructions for this say that the counter keeps track of ghost cars. For some reason this isn't occurring. The CU beeps when the car passes over the sensor but nothing shows up on the lap counter or position tower. The instructions say ghost cars will be counted At position 7. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

There's a setting for the CU that determines whether or not the position tower displays 6 (human controlled ID 1..6 only) or 8 (ghost and pace included) cars. The setting likely has the same effect on the lap counter.

Go to Carrera's website and download the CU manual if you need to find out how to change the setting.
