I really enjoy SCI, and have read it twice a day, almost since it's inception. I was slow to register, and rarely post, guess I'm shy eh? Living in "rural" Ontario, where there are no slot car shops within 2 hours of here, SCI has brought me up to speed with what's going on in the world of slots.

I've purchased from SCI sponsors and bought Luf's routed track tape. SCI even got "basement racer" and I together, both residents of our little town - unknown to each other- until about a year and a half ago. We met at SCI. (I think probably both our wifes are happier now they don't have to humour us, and race anymore!)

I have been "playing" with slot cars most of my life.... alone..... until the last couple of years. Your slogan (?) - "Start a trend -race a friend", really hit home and I've hosted races here since 2002, for friends about three times a month, and we have had a great time. We even have a monthly newsletter, reporting on past races, and to announce upcoming race nights!
